Social Sciences: Political Science, Communication, Economics, or Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies

Open to working with students in social sciences and interdisciplinary fields, especially the areas of Political Science, Communication, Economics, or Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies.

Potential projects include:

  • Creating a tool to help others discover openly available data sources in your discipline.
  • Exploring how interdisciplinary scholars conduct research in diverse fields.
  • Conducting a digital scholarship project using the Libraries’ digital newspapers or other digital collections.
  • Using the special collections in Civil Rights or Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies to develop a research project

Location: Thompson Library, Columbus campus

Faculty Librarian:

Hilary Bussell, Assistant Professor, is the Librarian for Political Science, Communication, and Economics. Her research interests include the research practices of interdisciplinary scholars as well as issues around gender and race in Library and Information Studies. She is also interested in exploring methods for teaching data and media literacy.
