ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Natalie Ungar and I am a first year student at OSU. I am from Avon Lake. Ohio, a suburban about twenty minutes out from Cleveland. I chose to go to OSU mainly because they were the only in-state school that offered my major, but also because my parents both went and met here, and I have always wanted to go to a big school. I love all of the opportunities that the university and Columbus provide and that no matter what you want to do you are able to find a club/organization for it. I am currently a member of CRPSA (City planning student org) and AROUSE OSU (student radio station) and I plan on joining an environmentally focused club next semester.

I am currently doing a double major with my primary major being Enviro0nment, Economy, Development, and Sustainability and my secondary major being City and Regional Planning. My plan for the future is to go into disaster recovery for cities hit by natural disasters. In the future I am also hoping to receive my masters in City Planning as well as getting certified by the American Planning Association. I joined ACES because it felt like it tied in well with my interest in communities and how to connect with and help them, while also being a group not entirely tied to academics. I have enjoyed the opportunities provided to me through this scholars program and look forward to doing more work with the community in the future.
