Origin Story

The Digital Arts and Humanities Working Group grew out of two events in the Spring of 2012.  Several of our core committee attended the CIC Digital Humanities Summit and found themselves in a coffee shop in Lincoln, NB with some time to spare.  Many of our core committee subsequently attended OSU’s first THATCamp.  Determining that we had something good going, we made a proposal to the OSU Humanities Institute and our Working Group was born into a long line of dynamic and exciting Working Groups.  Our mission is to connect cyber-enabled research and teaching efforts across OSU and to the broader digital humanities community.

Before the Digital Arts and Humanities Working Group existed on campus, there was the Digital Media Collective.  The DMC continues to meet and the groups are coordinating efforts.
