What is the main purpose of your app?
The main purpose of the app I chose Ft2 Mapper is to give the user a easier way in measuring area, calculating fertilizer, and seeding rates. It is also meant to help save time and money.
How does it help the user?
Ft2 Mapper helps the user by providing them with a map and a way to plot points. It saves them the time of having to walk a property, calculate the area and try and calculate the amount of fertilizer and seed needed for each individual property. The Ft2 Mapper app has a option to save individual properties and areas so you can just look it up in the saved maps section and be on with your application in no time
What do you think of its potential?
The Ft2 mapper app has enormous potential. It takes areas of the turf field people have trouble with and make it very easy. It will need some new updates to make it more user friendly, but this app is fairly new and still has plenty of time to catch on and become better.
How do you use the app?
You open the app and from there it goes off your current location, but it gives you the option to enter and address or go to a world map. When you find where you want to plot your points you create a new estimate and start plotting your points. Once you have them plotted you hit the measure button and that will highlight the area. Next hit the measure button to get to the page where you can enter in the granular, liquid fertilizer, and seed. Put in the numbers you think is right. For the granular and seed it gives you the option to look at charts for recommendations for each specific turf you are working with. After this you are ready to begin putting out fertilizer and seed.
Why is the app significant?
The Ft2 mapper app is significant because it is the only app on the market that will calculate the area and calculate fertilizer and seeding rates. There are other apps that are better in the fertilizing aspect of the app but it doesn’t calculate the rates like this one does. I would recommend this app to anyone in the turf, landscaping, and farming field of work.
