I have several things that I want to achieve by the end of my first year and by the time I graduate in order to meet the G.O.A.L.S of the Honors and Scholars Center. In order to be globally aware and experience diversity, I want to join a student organization in my first year and study abroad by the time I graduate. In order to do original research, I want to write my first paper using Chicago Manuel citations by the end of my first year and do research as an intern by the time I graduate. I want to pursue academic enrichment, so I want to be accepted into the honors program by the end of my first year, and I want to graduate summa cum laude. In order to develop my leadership skills, I am going to attend several First Year Success events, and by the time I graduate, I want to be a leader in a student organization. Finally, in order to be involved in community service, I want to volunteer for the Democratic Party in my first year and join a social justice organization by the time I graduate. If I accomplish all these goals, I’m sure I’ll have made the best of my time in the PSL Scholars Program and my time at Ohio State.

About Me
Hi! My name is Rebecca Tuggle. I’m a first-year student at The Ohio State University. I’m a History and Political Science double major with minor in Spanish. I’m primarily interested in political history and women’s history. Outside of college, I play the French horn and enjoy both reading and writing. After undergrad, I plan on going to law school and becoming a human rights attorney. I hope to run for public office someday.
