Misti Crane

 

Misti Crane is assistant director of research communications at The Ohio State University, where she writes primarily about research in the life sciences, including everything from salamander sex to cancer prevention. In addition to her professional role at the university, Misti is a graduate student in the College of Public Health. Prior to joining the Ohio State team, she was a newspaper journalist for more than 20 years. From 2000 to 2015, she covered medicine and public health for The Columbus Dispatch. During that time, she had the opportunity to research and write about food often, usually with a focus on nutrition or food safety. Misti has been the recipient of numerous journalism awards. In 2015, the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists named her “Best Reporter in Ohio.”
