The OSU Food Innovation Center has a central mission of collaborating for a healthy, hunger-free world.  As part of this mission, the FIC frequently organizes conferences, symposia and other projects on critical food topics.  The FIC has over 350 faculty, staff and student members, representing all 15 colleges on campus.

 

 Citation Needed is an OSU student organization originating from the Department of Food Science and Technology.  The mission is to provide students with opportunities to learn and practice effective communication skills for a modern dialogue on food and agriculture.

The Kiplinger Program in Public Affairs Journalism at Ohio State teaches new digital tools and approaches, to keep journalists relevant in a changing media world.  As more people get information from Twitter, YouTube and other nontraditional sources, newsrooms need journalists who can tell compelling stories using the latest technology and tactics.

 

The Central Ohio Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists is the first professional chapter started in Ohio.  The SPJ is the nation’s largest journalism organization, with 8,000 members dedicated to encouraging the free practice of journalism and stimulating high standards of ethical conduct.
