Artifacts

An artifact from my first semester of college would be the Quicken Loans logo. This is because I competed in a case competition that was hosted by Alpha Kappa Psi first semester and sponsored by Quicken Loans as well as a couple of other companies.

This case competition was difficult, but definitely a very impactful moment for me in my professional career. This was my first ever case competition and I was told I would be put on a team of 4 with people who had a lot of experience with these competitions. Turns out, nobody on my team had ever participated in one of these competitions before which made things very difficult. The three students I was working with were also all international students so there was a significant language barrier between us. We really just came together and had to work very hard in order to get our ideas across. I learned a lot about team work and how I can be a leader in difficult situations.

About Me

Hi, my name is William “Woody” Truncellito and I am a first-year student at the Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. I am pursuing a bachelor of science in business administration with a specialization of finance with a minor in Spanish, but I am looking for any opportunity to learn more about the business world in general.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, I attended Sycamore High School. I decided to come to Ohio State for many different reasons, but just the vast amount of opportunities Ohio State has to offer really convinced me to come here. On campus I am involved in Business Scholars, Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, and next year I will be the second-year representative for the Undergraduate Business Council.

This summer I will be completing an international internship in Hong Kong. I am really excited to get accustomed to the business world as well as to have the opportunity to explore a new country.

Outside of business, I am passionate about learning about other cultures, international soccer, and bettering myself on a daily basis. I enjoy Ohio State football, spending time with my friends and family, and living an active lifestyle.
