Hello! I am a PhD candidate in Sociology at the Ohio State University. I received my BA in sociology from Oberlin College and my MA in Sociology from The Ohio State University. My research interests include inequality, sociology of education, and sociology of sport. I am interested in the consequences and implications of integrating sports so thoroughly within the schooling system, a practice which is unique to the United States. My dissertation investigates vulnerability in higher education in order to understand why certain groups are more likely to drop out of college. I have taught research methods in sociology as an independent instructor for nine semesters.
