Welcome! I am an Associate Professor of Psychology on the Lima Campus of the Ohio State University. I attended the University of Florida for my undergraduate and graduate studies, earning a B.S. in Psychology in 2002, an M.S. in Developmental Psychology in 2007, and a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology in 2009. I joined the Lima campus in 2009, became an Assistant Professor in 2010 and Associate Professor in 2017.

I regularly teach the Developmental area courses, including Child Development, Lifespan Development, and Adult Development. I also teach General Psychology and Research Methods.

My research focuses on cognitive development in early childhood, in particular language, literacy, narrative, and theory of mind. I am also interested in social aspects of development, including parenting, social competence, and adult influences (e.g., parent, teacher) on children’s development.
