Dr. Allison Gardner is an Associate Professor of Arthropod Vector Biology. Her expertise is in emergence, spread, and sustainable management of infectious diseases that are transmitted by arthropod vectors like mosquitoes or ticks.

New this year: The Tick Symposium is happening in partnership with the 2025 Ohio Mosquito and Vector Control Association Annual meeting, which will take place on Oct. 28th, 2025 at the same venue. Attend one or both!

Mission Statement: The Ohio Regional Tick Symposium aims to facilitate the exchange of information among a diverse community of researchers, educators, public health officials, health practitioners, and pest management specialists in order to prevent and mitigate the burgeoning threat of tick- borne disease in Ohio and the surrounding region.
