This is the Business Model Canvas for Book Me, an app idea that was created with a group in ICE Scholars Seminar.   The idea behind our app is to create a social media style platform for writers to connect with readers in order to make it easier for new writers to gain a following, and for readers to be able to find new authors that they enjoy.  My group and I believe that this app has real potential for the future, and so we intend to look at continuing to pursue this idea into the future.

Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio. G.O.A.L.S.

Global Awareness: Students cultivate and develop their appreciation for diversity and each individual’s unique differences. For example, consider course work, study abroad, involvement in cultural organizations or activities, etc .
Original Inquiry: Honors & Scholars students understand the research process by engaging in experiences ranging from in-class scholarly endeavors to creative inquiry projects to independent experiences with top researchers across campus and in the global community. For example, consider research, creative productions or performances, advanced course work, etc.
Academic Enrichment: Honors & Scholars students pursue academic excellence through rigorous curricular experiences beyond the university norm both in and out of the classroom.
Leadership Development: Honors & Scholars students develop leadership skills that can be demonstrated in the classroom, in the community, in their co-curricular activities, and in their future roles in society.
Service Engagement: Honors & Scholars students commit to service to the community.]

Career

[“Career” is where you can collect information about your experiences and skills that will apply to your future career.  Like your resume, this is information that will evolve over time and should be continually updated.   For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio. About Me

angel-pic

My name is Nikhil Thumar and I am a first year ICE Scholar at The Ohio State University, majoring in Finance and following the Pre-Med track.  I am an out-of-state student from Moorestown, New Jersey, but I have a lot of connections to Ohio State and Columbus.  My parents both attended Ohio State and met at the university, my brother currently attends Ohio State, my mother grew up in Columbus, and my uncle lives in the city to this day.  At Ohio State, I hope to grow and learn new things, while also meeting new and exciting people.  That is the main reason I chose to join the ICE Scholars group.  Although I would meet new people in any program, I felt like the most exciting and interesting people would be in a program such as ICE.
