About Me

Hi there!

My name is Ashley Thompson and I am currently a freshman at the Ohio State University. I am pursuing a major in Neuroscience as a part of the College of Arts and Sciences as well as the College of Medicine and am a member of the Health Science Scholars Program here at Ohio State. While my specific career path is yet to be decided, I am passionate about the study of the brain and its connection to everyday behavior. I intend to participate in research relative to this field throughout my time at Ohio State.

I am from Youngstown, Ohio and graduated with honors from Canfield High School where I first discovered my interest in psychology and biology. I come from a background of extensive involvement in my community and participated in several service clubs throughout high school. I was selected as a “Bright Futures Honoree” for the Young Women’s Christian Association of Youngstown and was a member of the Teen Ambassador Board for the Ohio Attorney General. When I am not studying you may find me reading a good book, spending time with my sweet dog Clover, or serving at my local church!
