About Me

Introduction

Hello, I am Yun Yi Amelie Thomas from Loveland, Ohio about 20 minutes from Cincinnati. I attended school at Kings Local School District. Entering high school I came with a good work ethic and dedication to maintaining good grades. While participating in my clubs and extracurricular activities.

Staring college I was studying Environment Science and enrolled in the Environment and Natural Resource Scholar program. After my first semester, I realized that I wanted to switch my major and focus on politics and the environment. I then switched my major to Environmental Policy and Decision Making, specializing in Policy and Governance. While attending The Ohio State University I strive to maintain good grades as I did in high school but also expand networking with people in the field I pursue to be in.

Ever since I was a kid I have always been drawn to nature and wanted to learn more about the subject. I love being outside and surrounded by nature. Being outside is a comfort zone for me rather than being cooped up inside a building. I have a wide variety of interests, including being politically active, playing the violin, karate, knitting, embroidery, hiking, kayaking, hammocking, and canoeing.

My personality is widely geared towards protecting the environment and living a more sustainable life. One way I try to live a more sustainable life is by collecting trash bags from groceries stores etc and bringing them to a facility that can properly recycle them. I believe that everyone should work towards living more sustainably and creating less waste.
