Career

Through out the semester this course has helped me get a better understanding of my life plan and what I need to do to achieve my goals. I’ve learned a lot more about Athletic Training, which is  my intended major, and the work that is required to be successful in that field. I also discovered that even if  I don’t get in to my intended major I can still achieve my life plan. I can major in psychology and still be able to go into physical therapy. During my upperclassman interview with Dom he stressed how important it is to study what you love. That nothing should determine your path other than yourself and that if you love what you do all the hard work will be worth it. He also stressed that its important to be social and make strong connections with your peers and professors. Next semester I really need to work on forming personal connections. I can do this by going to my professors office hours and beginning to form those connections so in the future when I need a letter of recommendation I will have someone who knows me well enough to write one and someone who’s willing to write it. I also need to work on balancing academics and social commitments as well as eating healthy, getting enough sleep, and working out. Which I will be able to do if I start at the beginning of the semester and make it part of my daily routine.
