`Efficiency in the Digital Age

Good afternoon students! #BuildYourBrand Inc. is here to give you the news from this weeks latest strategies for online learning! This week the strategies were about time management, and techniques for how to combat procrastination.

The most useful and/or specific strategies that I learned from Module 3 was the 3 Techniques on Beating Procrastination. The first technique was the 10 Minute Rule was encouraged the individual to make heavy course work lighter by taking 10 Minute breaks and breaking the course work into smaller assignments. The second technique encouraged the individual to answer the 3 Magic questions, which were 1. Where are you? 2. What do you want to do? and 3. How will you feel when your done? Finally the last technique was the Ultimate Goal v.s Immediate Desire. These goals and techniques provide the reader with simple strategies that they could use to minimize their amount of procrastination.

Currently I practice the 10 Minute rule. It is hard for e to stay on one topic for longer than an hour so 10 minute breaks allow me to give my mind a break while focusing on other things until i return to the task. In the future I think it would be beneficial for myself to begin using the Ultimate Goal V.s Immediate desire concept. This concep

t encourages readers to be aware of the impact small deviations can have on their progress. A reminder of my ultimate goals will encourage me to commit to the 10 minute break and return to the work instead of procrastinating. Based on what I learned in Module 3, I encourage students to be aware of their study habits, know what is helpful and whats not and to commit to a technique that will help alleviate procrastinating tendencies. In the module there was a part that

said ” Speak to your rationalizations with affirmations. To overcome procrastination, consider current rationalizations find root causes and address them with relevant strategies.” I thought this part of the lecture summarized the entire

module on time management and procrastination and maybe by leaving it with you, you too can make meaning of it.

Until Next time,
