Roaming Daikanyama the other night, another one of Invader’s Intruders was spotted in what looks like a medicine bottle. A pretty large mosaic off the main street in Daikanyama right next to the pedestrian bridge.

 Intruder invades Shibuya yet again, after passing Tower Records music shop, heading towards Yoyogi Park. Beneath the intruder is The London Police‘s LAD character. The side of this building is covered in street art and stickers. Go check it out!

Invader Hits the Off Streets of Harajuku

Cross Meijji-dori from the main Takeshidori shopping street in Harajuku and take a left. There you can see the sign above marked “Harajuku St.” Before reaching the Family Mart look behind and up to see Invaders small invader. This street is great to find nice sticker art along with the popular Design Festa Gallery. Behind the gallery is a great Okonomiyaki shop and bar. Be sure to check them out!

Before reaching the Dr. Martin’s Omote-sando/Harajuku store, another Space Invader by Invader can be found. Many other great street art can be found while roaming around Cat Street and its street fashion shops, like Stussy, XLARGE, X-girl, Supreme, Undefeated, and KIKS LAB.

Astro Boy in the City

Invader, Astroboy Shibuya Astro Boy watching over Tokyo

Invader places Astro Boy or Mighty Atom (original Japanese name) amongst the character’s home country. The character created by Osamu Tezuka watches over Harajuku (below) across from Momi & Toy’s Creperie and Womb clothing shop. The robot hero can also be found in Shibuya (above) on the bridge leading to Harajuku/Omote-sando area right after you pass Tower Records music shop (map below).

While visiting Diver City in Odaiba, Tokyo, the full size model of,「RG 1/1 RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. GFT」can be seen right outside the Gundam Front Cafe. If you walk towards the parking lot away from the Gundam, Invader has left his mark.

Invasion is Out!

Intruder by Invasion

Intruder in Roppongi

Invader identifies himself as an unidentified living artiest. This intruder is part of his “Space Invasion” project, based off of the 1978 arcade game. For this project, Invader is installing 20 to 30 mosaic works in each city that he travels to. Thus far, he has invaded Japan five times and has about 138 pieces in and around Tokyo. How many can you find?
