The Ohio Student Society, TOSSS, was founded at OSU in 2012 by four freshmen who wanted to contribute to the community in exciting, new ways. As a student volunteer organization, our goal is to encourage others to make a difference no matter where they are. One of the biggest difficulties as freshmen was finding transportation to service events, so we try our best to arrange rides for those who want to volunteer to make it easier for everyone to get involved.
We are dedicated to providing service opportunities to all students at The Ohio State University’s Columbus campus. TOSSS has a passion for service and we welcome everyone to join us in spreading that passion throughout OSU and the Columbus community!
An Idea of our Volunteer/Service Events:
Dog Walking at the Franklin County Dog Shelter
Volunteering for various 5K, etc. races
Trips to Skyview Ranch for outdoor/indoor work projects
Operation Christian Child– sending presents to children overseas or Christmas
30 Hour Famine– raising hunger awareness
Events hosted by other OSU organizations
#StreetSwag– cleaning up the neighboring streets of OSU
Project Battle- plan volunteering projects, with a little competition
