As my college experience flies by, I try to stop once in a while and reflect on where I am. I am currently a Sociology major and could not be happier. My major is a perfect fit for me, though I am glad I was able to be in Exploration for a little while to test out my options. I have recently declared a Public Policy minor and I intend on working in a non-profit organization that centers on advocacy in one of my areas of interest (animals, health) once I graduate. I am hoping to obtain an internship for this upcoming summer to get a feel for non-profit work. I look forward to next year and the new experiences I will have!

Year in Review
This past year has been a huge change from my high school experience. Living away from home has been a liberating and eye-opening experience, even though I missed my home sometimes. I came in thinking I wanted to major in Design, only to change my mind at Orientation. I went into Exploration and took some time to understand what my options were and also what I was interested in. I am now a soon-to-be Sociology major and I am confident in my decision. I am also glad that I took the time to explore instead jumping into a major I was unsure of. College has taught me about time management and independence, as well as begun preparing me for a career.
