I didn’t get enough plant disease pictures this week for another disease post, but I did see lots of interesting things in the tomato fields we worked in. Here are few cool things that I saw or caught in the field.
Colorful Insects
Toads
And some baby birds
Greetings! Your sister, Mary, sent me this blog and it looks really interesting. I’m looking forward to learning more about your work. Best regards, Nan Stubenvoll
Hi Anna,
Love your pictures and what an exciting time! Glad that you have settled in and are learning the culture while you do your research. That thing in the hole looks menacing! Do you know what kind of baby birds you found? Take care and I look forward to more posts! Lee
Hey Lee,
Don’t know what kind of birds those were, they weren’t in the next the next time we visited that village. Hope they flew out on their own!
What great creatures you are finding! Are those insects associated with the tomatoes, or just passing through? Can you bring me one of those toads? Soooo cute!!!
Hey Joe,
Most of those insects are just passing through I believe. I find some of them in the field margins. Don’t know if I’ll be able to find any of those toads in the following dry season!
Hi Anna
I like the toad picture, and I found one toad in my garden today.
Are you having fun in Tanzania?
Hey Achal,
I am having fun in Tanzania and learning lots! Have a good summer break! I hope baseball is going well!
