Evaluate

1.  The best example I used for the evaluation level of Bloom’s Taxonomy was the large group discussion for the educational video student led lesson.  The question was posed if given the choice, would you make a quality video to get the information out, or would you make a low quality video just to get the information out quickly?  The group worked together in critiquing both types of videos and evaluated the topic for a conclusion.  It was well discussed and a good consensus was reached from various perspectives.

2.  Evaluation was addressed in our paper about adult education and mobile learning.  We judged and hypothesized about the pros and cons of mobile learning.  Through our online discussion we made judgments about the positive aspects of adult learning with mobile technology such as…”Mobile learning is transformational for a professional setting.  Moving a company into mobile learning allows for a new array of learning opportunities for training, assessment or communication. Employees are already immersed in a mobile workplace/ workflow, which lends itself  for education. Mobile devices leverage company speed for productivity.”   We hypothesized about why there could be pitfalls of adult education with mobile learning such as, “Not everyone has a well-functioning mobile device. The inaccessibility could be due to different reason such as individual preferences, living areas, and financial problems.”(Gabrelcik, Geibs, Lu, 2015)

3.  Youmna and I had hoped to experiment with the ARIS app for developing some simple quests during class time, but technical difficulties prevented the activity.  We had a short video of how to make a simple quest and hoped to allow time for students to try making a quest with the app.  Screen Shot 2015-08-03 at 9.13.59 PM
