Experimental Study Summery
The final study that was performed in the phase one process was the concept screening and scoring. This action had Team A critique and score each of the presented models, as previously seen in the Creative Design Thinking, which was done by setting a base AEV model to compare each of the group members vehicles. Given the scenario code, the base model AEV had some major problems. After seeing the base model in action, Team A created its criteria for its perfect AEV:
- Weight: The overall mass of the AEV; the more weight, the less efficient the vehicle.
- Aesthetic: The way the AEV is perceived by just looking at it.
- Safety: Public security on transportation of the AEV.
- Stability: The balance of the AEV.
With all of these in mind, the group screened and scored each of the AEV designs (seen below). The base model AEV was given even scores of zeroes to help visualize the comparisons between each design.
