Douglas Bly Jewelry Box

This is our upgraded version of the ‘Ring Applier’ from our team’s concept ideation. The jewelry box would be made out of a nice hard wood to incase the glass sheet (cling wrap) and  the touchscreen display (foil). The smart screen will remain aware of all items in the box and will even automatically place a ring on your finger once selected. The extra shelving space on the left side of the box allows for extra organization between jewels while the hole  on the front of the box enables a user to place the finger inside for their desired ring to be applied. Of course, the touchscreen will have other features besides knowing what jewels the box contains, such as a fingerprint scanner that gives users extra security, or even a word of the day app. Overall, the jewelry box allows users with one hand to put on rings efficiently while simultaneously providing a stylish aesthetic to any room it may find itself in.

Spray Cream

The Spray Cream is an easy applier for shaving cream. Instead of pouring the shaving cream on one hand, and then spreading it on your face or legs, you can now directly spray it onto your body. This allows people with one hand to apply shaving cream neatly and easily. It will spray with a narrow diameter so the cream will not go places you don’t want it to go. It will come in many sizes and scents and will work for both men and women. The cream will be thin enough to spray but thick enough to be effective for shaving. It will be held in a plastic container with and easy push button to spray.

Device connected to Shoelaces

This prototype is a device connected to shoelaces. It allows anyone especially people with one hand to tie their shoes in a timely manner and effectively by just clicking on a button in the device. The user will need to turn on  the button in the shoelaces and device in order for it to work. The user will need to hold the button in the device in order to tie the shoes and the user can stop it depending how tight he/she want it to be. Mixing few technologies will allow this prototype to works!

The Mango-Lace Kit

This is the furthest ideation we have taken the magnetic laces idea. In this new setup, the customer will receive a kit filled with all the essential tools to have magnetic laces. The positive and negative super magnets are placed on the inside and outside of each side of the shoe, where they will hold each other in place. The user will cut the laces of the shoes he/she already has to a desired length of 2-3 inches using the cigar cutter provided. Next, the user will take the new iron aglets and stick a drop of glue into each and then connect the cut laces to the new aglet. Once dry, the laces can be tightened by the user and then simply attached to the super magnets on the sides of each shoe.

Shaving Cream Stick

This Shaving Cream Stick ideated off of the initial idea of spray on shaving cream. This stick allows one to apply shaving cream over their skin, all with one hand and without the mess. By the press of the black button, the lid flicks back and open to a stick of shaving cream. No rubbing in necessary, all one has to do is apply on skin and then that area is ready to safely shave. To obtain more of the shaving cream stick, all one has to do is raise the black bar up to release more stick. This can all be done in one hand, without much prepositioning of the fingers. This product will save someone with one or two hands time while getting ready and specifically, shaving. It also comes in a larger size, specifically for application on legs.
