Resources

A good place to start when designing your course is the ASC eLearning website. This page links to a variety of articles and resources you can use to help conceptualize your course and make good content. You can also use the Quality Matters rubric to ensure that your class meets all the needs of your students.

There are a ton of resources available for online teaching at the Office of Distance Education and eLearning’s Resource Center.

I highly recommend reading Minds Online if you are looking for scholarly material and advice for online teaching.

For specific help using Carmen, check out the help button on the left, or go to OSU’s own Carmen help page. You can also go to the Canvas Guides, which are often more detailed but based on slightly different versions of Canvas.
