Behaviorism

Learning is externally regulated by the environment and occurs by building a series of stimulus-response connections. With its emphasis on the observable, traditional behaviorist theory does not attempt to deal with the “internal” aspects of learning and views thbehaviorism refers to rewards systemse learner as a passive responder to stimuli rather than an active participant in the learning process (Dewey, Skinner, Dierking). Teachers facilitate behaviorism by implementing a reward system for desired observable behaviors.
