Enneagram Personality Test

The results of my Enneagram personality test was type 4, the Creative. Creatives are described as individualistic, expressive, and passionate about their endeavors. I have previous experience with the Enneagram test, and I have never considered myself a Creative. Instead, I have always recognized myself as type 7, the Adventurer. Adventurers are outgoing, goal-oriented, and passionate. Both the Creatives and Adventurers are passionate about their goals and endeavors, so that may be one way that I identify with the Creative personality.

According to the description of type 4 personalities, they have difficulty focusing on others and dealing with overwhelming situations. To combat this, I think it is important to stay very organized and keep simple lists of what to do. The best way to deal with overwhelming oneself is to remove any potential for items and tasks to build up. I also think it is important to take a step back and reach out to those that one is close to. This would help me take a break from any stressful work while also helping someone I am close to. In a more professional environment, this would also be a great way to show that you are a team player and are willing to make sacrifices to help everyone. This would be very useful at Ohio State because it may open doors to new opportunities that I have never considered. Helping or reaching out to someone may allow me to realize that I enjoy a certain component of a career. It would also allow me to perform well academically because I will have peers and staff members that may be more willing to help me with numerous tasks if I were to reach out to them.
