About Me!

My name is Anitvir Singh Taunque and I am a second year Eminence Fellow and Biomedical Science Major here at The Ohio State University.

I was born in Normal, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago) but was raised in West Chester, Ohio.

Some of my hobbies include running (I ran Cross Country and Track and Field), biking, chess, solving puzzles, and spending time with my family. I love to travel especially to India where I get to spend time with my grandparents and experience a completely different type of atmosphere.

My favorite aspects about OSU include my tightly knit group of friends and the absolutely stunning campus environment. There is so much opportunity to pursue my interests and get all the help and mentorship I need. The faculty is truly always there to help me in whatever way I may need it.

Since I started here, I have had the opportunity to get involved with various different organizations and initiatives. Most notably, I am a founder and Co-president of OSU Red Saree: South Asian Health Initiative, an OSU wellness coach, a director at ServUS corporation, and a researcher at the COPPER laboratory in the division of surgery.

In the future, I aspire to become a neurosurgeon and take a role in medical/hospital management while building my own healthcare startup. One day, I hope to travel the world organizing free clinics in regions that lack resources and/or physicians to adequately diagnose and treat complex conditions.

With so much in mind and so many ways to do it, I am ecstatic to be able to continue my journey here at OSU!

Go Buckeyes!
