ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN CAMP ACTIVITIES

Camp Directors shall decide the appropriate age for participation for each specific camp (i.e junior camp, intermediate camp, senior camp, or cloverbud camp) within the 4-H ages of 8 and in 3rd grade to not more than 18 years old as of January 1st of that year, or 5 years old through second grade for Cloverbud camps.

Reasonable accommodations will be made for food allergies and physical disabilities, but campers and counselors are expected to participate fully in the majority of camp activities. Click here for ourĀ Specialized Activity Areas Policy.

Activities of the counties who camp at Tar Hollow 4-H Camp may include:

  • Meals
  • Flag Raising/Lowering
  • Songleading
  • Caring for cabins
  • Rotations, which may include: Recreation, Arts and Crafts, Lakefront (with a waterslide and boating), and Nature
  • Dances
  • Gaugau Pit
  • Nine Square in the Air
  • Campfire
  • Candlelighting
  • Vespers
  • Some camps: Shooting Sports
  • Land and Water Olympics
  • Talent Show
