  1. Hello Tan Yaning. I enjoyed reading your profile very much. The photos are beautiful, and I am happy that you overcame your initial fear of skiing when you first tried it. You live in a beautiful place to fly down the mountain and enjoy the beauty of nature as you ski. My favorite part of your profile is what you say at the end, about Math being a shy girl who whispers her secret to us. That’s a very good description, and I think many people don’t listen to her because their worry or intimidation is too loud. I hope you have a good experience with your major and meet lots of friends and good professors.

  2. Your photos are so beautiful especially the husky one. I like your analogy with husky. Husky is a symbol of energy. I have a deep impression when i have a friend from Xinjiang. He is conversable and humorous just like you. And you are a brave and luck girl because you can hear the secret of the math girl.

  5. Hi, Yaning. I am more than surprised to know you also come from Xinjiang and we attended the same high school! How come I never know you? Seeing your picture makes me feel extremely familiar –I see the scene every day! But I never take pictures of them, so I really admire how you can appreciate beauty. And I love math as well. I’m thinking about taking mathematics as my minor. I believe we can be good friends in the future.

  6. Hi, Yaning. I heard that your hometown XinJiang is a gorgeous place and I always dreaming travelling here. Skiing is my hobby as well and my hometown also has lots of snow during winter. Since we are both children born in the snow, maybe we could enjoy snow and skiing together in the future. My major is also math and I admire that you are a talented girl in math calculating. I believe we can be great friends!

  7. Hi, Yaning. After reading your personal profile, I was impressed by your photos, which are the place you lived in. I am looking forward to going to Xinjiang in the future. Besides, I thought skiing is super cool, especially for a person, like me, who is living in a place without snow. Moreover, I also major in mathematics. I am looking forward to meeting you at OSU.

  8. Hi, I’m Yu Fu. I also interested in math, because I think math is the basic knowledge of other majors, such as computer science and physics. And I will study math in first two years, and in last two years, I will focus on computer science, and I need to comprehend the math knowledge completely at first. I very like Xinjiang, because the weather in Xinjiang is very good, and the environment is also beautiful. I plan to go to Xinjiang next year.

  9. Hello Yaning. When I finished reading your personal profile, I found out that you were a different girl who loved mathematics. Because I’m not good at mathematics, I think it’s amazing. For me, Xinjiang is an extraordinary place with many beautiful sceneries, and after seeing your pictures, it will be more desirable. I hope that I can travel to Xinjiang once in the future.

  10. Nice to meet you Yaning. I have been to Xinjiang once when I was four. Xinjiang is so beautiful and impressive that I am even jealous that you can live in such a nice place. I really want to learn skiing in Xinjiang sometime. About your major, though I am totally bad at math, I can see how you love it when you said: “math is just a shy girl”.
