New Photo Tumblr site called Tubby Likes Walls

So, to keep myself in a mode of creativity, I like to find new ways to take photographs whenever possible. My newest adventure has combined my need for more exercise, walking my dog, and taking pictures. Tubby Likes Walls is a new Tubmlr site devoted to my Shepard/Samoyed/Lab mix 11 year old male dog named Tubby. For the past 10 years Tubby and his sister Precious always loved to walk on walls and jump over obstacles on their walks. Last year we lost Precious to Cushing’s Disease making Tubby a only dog for the first time ever. To help provide him more attention and help me lose some weight we now take very long walks with one goal in mind, find a cool wall or object to take a picture of Tubby on or around. Here are a few Photos (mostly taken with my phone) from the tumblr site. If you want to see more feel free to check out the original site Tubby Likes Walls.

Columbus Moving Image Art Review (CMIAR) 16 – Rural Colors Debut

On Friday September 27, I will be curating a screening of local film, animation and moving image art as part of The Columbus Moving Image Art Review, also known as CMIAR. The screening will take place in Hagerty Hall 180 on OSU Campus at 8PM. Admission is free and light refreshment swill be provided. For more information about the screening visit the CMIAR Website. At this screening I will be debuting a new part of my moving image poetic work exploring landscapes. This pieces is a companion piece to my City Lights work which can been seen on my Research page.

Rural Colors

Rural Colors is a series of short poetic experimental films that documents the natural landscapes of the world around us. This film explores the eastern border of Ohio and the river that runs between Wheeling, West Virginia and Martins Ferry, Ohio. Using a single tracking shot layered upon itself and timed to music the scenery becomes a kaleidoscopic cornucopia of color that provides an abstraction of the landscape original documented changing it into an aesthetic experience void of the details that influence our interpretation of such landscapes.

Here are a few stills.
