I am working with Dr. Caglar Yardim and Dr. Joel Johnson for my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. I completed my M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and my B.Tech in Electrical and Communications from West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata.
Currently, I am using parabolic equations (PE) to simulate the propagation of electromagnetic (EM) waves in evaporation and surface-based ducts over sea for ship-ship and satellite-ground communications. Incorporating multiple phase-screens with PE, I am trying to obtain the statistics of propagation loss of EM wave propagating in a turbulent atmosphere.
