Student-Driven Innovation on Sustainable Fashion!

The Center for Innovation Strategies is partnering with the Columbus Fashion Alliance for a student-driven innovation sprint focused around sustainable fashion. Thirty students will be selected for a paid position to engage in a six 1-hour workshops (Tuesdays: 3pm – 4pm). This collaboration with fashion industry leaders will focus on the development of cutting-edge proposals to retail industry challenges around waste with the ultimate goal of creating a more circular economy. The sprint will launch on Tuesday, October 5th with a kickoff roundtable event featuring multiple fashion industry leaders. 

 

The sprint will conclude with a final pitch event on November 16, 2021, attended by fashion industry leaders in Columbus looking for student talent to employ for future internships and investment opportunities. Students will be paid for a total of 12 hours of work. Each week different mentors from industry leaders will work with the student groups to help develop their concepts. Mentors may include individuals from DSW, Victoria Secret, Upwest, A&F, SWACO, Bath and Body Works, Mive, and more!
