Ohio State’s 2022 signature Earth Day event, “Time to Act on Climate Change,” takes place Wednesday, April 20, at 6 p.m. in the Ohio Union’s US Bank Conference Theater in Columbus. You also can watch live on YouTube. The event, its website says, will highlight “efforts underway in Ohio and beyond to mitigate and adapt to climate change.”
Speakers and details
Among the speakers will be Ohio State President Kristina M. Johnson; CFAES Dean Cathann A. Kress; Elena Irwin, CFAES Distinguished Professor and faculty director of Ohio State’s Sustainability Institute; Jeff Sharp, director of CFAES’ School of Environment and Natural Resources; Sophia Buggs, owner of Lady Buggs Farm in Youngstown and Mahoning Valley food access coordinator; and Kristen Jennifer Morris, chief executive officer of The Nature Conservancy (virtual).
Co-hosting the event are CFAES’ Environmental Professionals Network, CFAES’ OSU Extension outreach arm, and the Sustainability Institute. The Sustainability Committee of Ohio State’s Undergraduate Student Government is a co-sponsor.
