Go west for sustainability fest

Five CFAES and CFAES-affiliated programs will be among the more than two dozen exhibitors at WestFest 2018, a sustainability festival on May 19 on Ohio State’s Columbus campus, specifically its West Campus Quad.

Ohio State, community partners featured

If you go, you’ll find exhibits, displays, food trucks, hands-on activities highlighting Ohio State research, and tours of the university’s Arabidopsis Biological Resource Center and Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center.

The exhibitors will represent Ohio State and its community partners, including, for example, Columbus Audubon, the Department of Molecular Genetics and its Zebrafish Facility, Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed, the Museum of Biological Diversity, the Department of Speech and Hearing Science, Smart Columbus, the STEAM Factory, and the Orton Geological Museum.

Here’s who will be there from CFAES

Also represented will be CFAES’s Stone Laboratory (our island campus on Lake Erie), Ohio 4-H Youth Development program, OBIC Bioproducts Innovation CenterWilma H. Shiermeier Olentangy River Wetland Research Park and Center for Applied Plant Sciences, the last being a joint effort with the College of Arts and Sciences.
