More and more growers are using biostimulants containing microbes on their crops. The microbes are aimed at helping the crops grow better and faster. The products’ variety is growing fast, too.
So what do they do? How well do they work? How should a grower use them?
Feb. 16 at OEFFA conference
CFAES scientist Matt Kleinhenz, who’s doing research to help answer those questions, will share some of his findings at the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association’s annual conference. The event is Feb. 15-17 in Dayton.
Kleinhenz, a professor in the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science and a collaborator in the Organic Food and Farming Education and Research program, will give a workshop called “Microbe-Containing Crop Biostimulants: What We Know, What Is Important to Learn” from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Feb. 16.
It’s one of 10 conference workshops, out of nearly 80 total, whose speakers are from Ohio State, mainly CFAES.
