Climate course breaks big on iTunes U

iTunes climate courseOhio State’s Climate Change Outreach Team has released its “Global Change, Local Impact” webinar series as an iTunes U course called “Climate Impacts in the Great Lakes.” In the first two weeks after its launch, the new course was featured by Apple, hit No. 1 on the list of iTunes U Top Courses, was visited 23,000 times and gained 2,500 subscribers. Included are 40-plus presentations on climate research, adaptation and education. Check it out. CFAES scientists are among the team’s members.

CFAES Dean Bruce McPheron and students thank the college’s many donors in a new YouTube video. Look for Miranda McClendon, a senior in CFAES’s relatively new and definitely growing Environment, Economy, Development and Sustainability major, starting at 0:52. “Our job is to create the future,” Dean McPheron says in the video. “We can only do that with your help.”
