Spent all of the first day traveling! I woke up at my Dads house at 4:30 am, my first flight was at 7 to Atlanta and from there my flight to Costa Rica left at 10! I landed and got through customs around 1. After locating my luggage I went and found our guide Mario and he led me to where the others were! We attempted to head straight to the hotel but as our bus was pulling up it ran into another bus (haha). So instead we ate our first meal and waited for the situation to get worked out! After about an hour we headed to our hotel! Our guide Mario is already so cool and funny! On the drive over he said something that really stuck with me. He said “you have to change yourself in order to change the world.” I took this as in you have to make yourself a better person in order to make the world a better place. This might be my new favorite quote. Over all the first day has been a success and I am so excited to see what the rest of the trip has to offer! It is going to be an amazing 10 days!
