Did you know that there is a place on campus where you can access FREE food and personal care items with no strings attached? The Buckeye Food Alliance (BFA) is an organization with a vision that No Buckeye Goes Hungry. One way BFA is working toward this vision is by operating a food pantry that is available to ALL students. To utilize the pantry all you have to do is follow a few easy steps.
- Visit org to see which hours and location work for you. If you can’t find a time that works for you, we have your back. Simply email Nick Fowler at fowler.318@osu.edu to schedule a time to visit.
- Show up to the pantry with your Buck-ID to show that you’re a student.
- Fill out a quick registration form.
- You’re now ready to choose from the hundreds of products BFA has to offer at no cost to you!
Inside the pantry there are hundreds of food items to choose from such as cereal, pasta, tomato sauce, fresh produce, milk, eggs, frozen meats and much more. Although food is in our name, we also carry a large variety of personal care items such as toothpaste, soap, shampoo, menstrual products and more. Did I mention that all off this is FREE?
Although this may all sound too good to be true, it is a resource that your fellow Buckeyes have been using at an increasing rate. So far in 2020 we have already had over 1,400 visits from students just like you. BFA truly is available to ALL students.
Be sure to stop by BFA and see if it is right for you. Even if BFA doesn’t sound like the resource for you, share this information with your friends at Ohio State. BFA may be just the thing that they have been looking for to help them thrive as a student.
