A valid student identification card is required to use the Campus Recreation Center (CRC), to check out materials at the Bromfield Library & Information Commons, gain access to off-campus electronic resources through the library, to buy meal plans, to use the Game Room in the Student Union, to purchase tickets for campus events, to order and obtain football tickets, and for many other campus events and social functions. Current paid fee stickers are required to validate ID’s. ID pictures can be taken at the student’s convenience in the CRC throughout the semester.
OSU students are able to deposit money onto their BuckID to use at the Campus Bookstore, The Campus Café, The Cyber Café, Skyline Chili, Subway/BellStores, Panera Bread, and Fazoli’s Restaurant, as well as a number of other places in Columbus. Other regional campuses also accept the BuckID. To add money, please go to the website at buckid.osu.edu or call 614-292-0400. We are always trying to encourage additional outside vendors to participate in our program.
Many establishments in the area offer discounts to those presenting their BuckID. Students may pick up a list of participating businesses in the Student Union located on the 2nd floor of the Eisenhower Center, and Campus Recreation Center. NOTE: Please do not transfer the entire amount of any refund to your student’s BuckID. There are a limited number of places locally that accept BuckID.
