The Ohio State University has created a text message alert system for students, faculty & staff to stay informed of potential emergencies. Students who provide their cell number to Ohio State via Buckeye Link are automatically registered for emergency notification text messages.

Immediately seek shelter inside campus buildings when the Richland County emergency severe weather notification siren is heard outside.

FIRST AID
For minor injuries or illnesses, contact Campus Security at 419-755-4346. First aid kits are available in Bromfield Library & Information Commons, the Campus Recreation Center, the Child Development Center, Eisenhower Student Union, Kee Hall, and Ovalwood Hall.
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities which receive federal financial assistance. Title IX states that “[n]o person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. Examples of the types of discrimination that are covered under Title IX include sexual harassment (including sexual violence and sexual assault), the failure to provide equal opportunity in athletics and discrimination based on pregnancy. Reporting an Incident
The Ohio State University at Mansfield strongly encourages prompt, accurate reporting of crimes or suspicious incidents. Crimes or suspicious incidents should be reported immediately to security by dialing 5-4346 from an OSU phone or 419-755-4346 from an outside phone. Emergencies should be reported by dialing 9-911 from an OSU phone, or 911 from an outside line.
