Dynamical System Learning via Neural Networks

Abstract: This talk will briefly review Prof Dongbin Xiu’s work on dynamical system learning and Neural Networks. First, I will discuss the connection between Euler forward scheme and ResNet, and why multi-step ResNet can enhance the performance. Then I’ll go through several technics to make the Neural Network approximator more accurate and stable. After that, I will show how to learn reduced systems with the help of the Mori-Zwanzig Formulation.
