About Dr. Tray

Dr. Tray was born to talk. You ready? Let’s get started!

Picture of Dr. TrayHi there! I’m Dr. Tracey Stuckey-Mickell (AKA Dr. Tray) and this is my little chatty corner of the web. I am a Senior Lecturer in Learning Technologies in the Department of Educational Studies, College of Education & Human Ecology at The Ohio State University.

In my little chatty corner here, you can find information about opportunities for learning with me, doing research with me, or exploring issues related to teleworking. Read below for more on my Telecommute Carpool blog feature.

Feel free to peruse and contact me if you have questions or want to connect. I look forward to hearing from you. 🙂

About Telecommute Carpool… where we may be driving, but NOT to work!

The Telecommute Carpool is a featured portion of my blog dedicated to exploring the deep (and often muddy) waters of teleworking–including working, teaching, and learning 100% online AND remotely (i.e., you can’t get to your office easily and must work from home or another place).

What made me decide to start the Telecommute Carpool? Well I thought you’d never ask!

In light of the COVID-19 Pandemic, I felt a need to share what I’ve learned from being a 100% fully online faculty member and Ohio State community member who works remotely–I live in GA and I work in Ohio. In March of this year, nearly all educational orgs moved most, if not all, of their operations to the online world. However, the focus in my professional development network is on teaching and learning online. Well what about staff, administrators, and research teams, and others who do not teach? How can THEY make it work for them–keep stress low and productivity high? I’d like to raise awareness for ALL of us who telework–whether by choice or by necessity.

Hopefully the tips I provide will spark some creativity and discussion about how to make it work. Come back for new content OR follow me on twitter (@DrTrayStuckey or https://twitter.com/DrTrayStuckey) to see the latest updates. Also, I welcome discussion and sharing, so please feel free to leave comments or DM me!

Happy Teleworking!!
