Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio. Rowing: From since I remember I have always been involved in sports, so naturally I have continued this part of my life in college. Being a coxswain for the women’s team has been a large part of my life since starting school. It’s one of very few sports that is year long, the only break is during the two months in the summer although we are still expected to train. Rowing has added structure and a family to my everyday routine.

Block O, Buckeye Proud: Being a buckeye is a lot more than attending OSU for me. My family is deeply rooted in The University and the traditions here. OSU is ‘Home’ as described by the homecoming picture of us painted kids!

About Me

I am from Athens, GA, but was born in the city of Columbus, OH. I have spent half my life in both cities and thus consider both to be home. I am currently a certified lifeguard and swim instructor and have been for the past three years. Sports and exercise are very important in my life and have been since joiningDSC_1071 a diving team at the age of four to being an optional gymnast and four-sport varsity athlete in High School. At OSU I am currently a coxswain for the Novice Women’s Rowing team. Additionally, I am one of the way too pumped Block O kids at football games in which I sometimes paint up. But being a third generation buckeye I guess the spirit is just in my blood. I love to travel and explore new places whether towns or hiking trials.
