Hi my name is Kaitlyn Stockton and I am a first year undergraduate student at the Ohio State University. I was raised in Powell, Ohio which is a suburb just outside of Columbus. I plan on majoring in Nursing and would like to work a few years as an RN after receiving my bachelor’s degree. After I gain enough experience in the field I would like to go back to school so I can become a Nurse Practitioner in order to expand my opportunities to help people.
My interest in Nursing sparked when I visited a family member in the hospital and saw the huge role the nurses have when caring for a patient. I saw how they helped my family member and it really inspired me to go into a field where I could help others in the same way.
Outside of the classroom I enjoy working out, camping, boating, watching HGTV, and spending time with family and friends! I also enjoy doing service in my free time which brought me to my Mount Leadership Society Scholars program. Mount aims to develop students into better leaders and have them help communities by doing service.
I’m so excited to start my journey at the Ohio State University and to see all of the experiences these four years will bring me! Go Bucks!
