Whenever my family comes to Columbus, I always take them to Short North. There are so many things to do; there’s a candle-making store, cute boutiques, amazing food, etc. One weekend, my family and I stumbled upon a restaurant called Northstar Café. We have been to many restaurants in Short North, however, this one was special. What made this place unique was that it is just like a restaurant in Tokyo! The tea, the food, even the way they seated us. My family and I were really excited and we appreciated the little taste of our second home, Japan.

During Siblings Weekend, my brother and I decided to steer away from campus for a day (he had a car so we literally steered) and we went to German Village. We went to The Book Loft, Stauf’s Coffee, and Schiller Park. What I thought would be a boring day, ended up being really fun! My brother is thinking about coming to Ohio State so I am glad that I could show him around Columbus.

When starting college, I was really worried about staying healthy and keeping a steady weight. I decided to take action and see a nutritionist at the Student Wellness Center. The nutritionist tracked my eating for a week and determined what to add/reduce in my diet. The best part about going to an Ohio State nutritionist is that they take campus dining into consideration. It is difficult to eat healthy when you are not familiar with the food around you. I am glad that I utilized this resource on campus. I feel healthier and more energetic!
