Screen Shot 2014-07-22 at 12.24.36 PMAfter surveying my elementary students about social media this past May, I decided to create an Instagram for the school I work out this past week.  However, I don’t really have any photos to post since we are not in school right now.  So, I decided to take our mascot and put him in different pictures doing different activities from all over the world!  It is fun and the kids that are following me so far seem to like it!

DSLR Camera Fun!

DSC_0024My PTO so kindly awarded my studio a grant to purchase a DSLR camera.  So, of course I had to check out all the features and have some fun with slower shutter speeds and draw with sparklers.  The results turned out pretty cool.  I am looking forward to experimenting more with it in the near future!

Happy 4th of July!

IMG_0442The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays!  I love the picnics, warm weather, and of course the fireworks.  It is also a great time to reflect on our nation’s history and remember all the sacrifices that have been made to make our country what it is today.  Have a great 4th of July!

This week, we started editing photos in Photoshop for our website.  Photoshop has a ton of tools and can be extremely useful in creating a more dynamic and visually pleasing site.  I found a great place that gives step-by-step directions on some basic photo editing skills.  Check it out here.
