My name is Matthew Steinwandel. While this isn’t my best picture I like it because I took it at College Gameday which was a lot of fun even tho I didn’t sleep to get in the front row. I’m a big sports guy, that’s half the reason I came to OSU, I played football and basketball all of high school and I wanted to go somewhere where I could go and watch us be successful (even though I didn’t think the basketball team would be as good as it is now).
My goals for the future is just to get a good job and a nice house and family. I’d love to be rich and influential but I just want to set a more attainable goal before moving to running the world.
One activity I’ve really enjoyed in college is club swimming. I joined hoping it’d be fun but competitive and that’s what it is. There are enough practices where you can stay in shape if you want to, but it’s all based on how much effort you want to put in so it is not a high stress situation. The teams also one of the best in the country so it’s cool to be part of that but its a good environment with good people and I enjoy that.
I’m really hoping to travel abroad to Germany this summer to study international business. My great grandparents moved here from Germany but I never really learned much about my heritage. That’s part of what I want to achieve in this trip, to learn more about where my ancestors grew up and what the culture is like nowadays.
