Raw materials are either mined and exported to the United States or they are mined within and transported within the United States. Steel is also the most recycled material in the world, and therefore it is recycled and reused in the production of crude steel. Both routes produce the materials used in the production of crude steel, and these materials are used by various companies who manufacture steel bars. The steel bars are then sent to the Niagara LaSalle Corporation to be processed into cold-finished steel bars, which is specifically what they specialize in. This corporation is North America’s largest independent cold finished steel bar producer, and they have six facilities throughout the United States. They have one in New York, Indiana, Michigan, and two in Illinois. This is the corporation from which Rogue Fitness obtains the steel bars used for making their barbells. Rogue Fitness designs, builds, and warehouses all of their products in the United States, this includes their barbells. After the final product is finished, it is made available for consumer consumption. Speaking within this commodity chain only, old barbells, flawed steel, and flawed barbells can all be recycled, causing the whole process to start over again. The commodity chain of steel, overall, is a cycle.
