Having community engagement through personal internships is kind of difficult. If you intern through a community company, it is not as difficult. Even if you are not the one involving the community, the company you intern through may be doing it as part of growth. I may have some trouble finding an internship opportunity with law enforcement, but law enforcement deals heavily with the community for obvious reasons so that may not be as difficult for me.
