Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio. G.O.A.L.S.

Global Awareness: I plan to be involved in activities that foster diversity and to complete the Multicultural Center’s DICE program. I would also like to participate in a medical trip to another country and to take classes related to global studies.

Original Inquiry: I plan to get involved in medical research. I am interested in cancer research as well as research in neuroscience. I am currently working on finding a lab to join. I would also like to work on my own project later on.

Academic Enrichment: I was in an honors biology class last semester and am in an honors biology class this semester as well. I plan to take more honors classes as part of my academic plan and to challenge myself academically. I look forward to taking an honors psychology class because I took psychology in high school and I really enjoyed everything that I learnt. Some classes that are part of my major that I am excited about are Integrated Biology and General Genetics because the course descriptions of these classes sound interesting and challenging.
Leadership Development: I have joined a few student organizations on campus, such as Pre-medical Club and Chi Alpha and I plan to join a few more as well. I would like to join a medical brigades organization as well as an art club because I enjoy being creative and working on projects.
Service Engagement: Over winter break I volunteered with Pre-med Club at LifeTown, a center with an indoor city where kids with disabilities practice life skills. I also plan to volunteer at various events this semester and would also like to volunteer at a hospital.

Career

[“Career” is where you can collect information about your experiences and skills that will apply to your future career.  Like your resume, this is information that will evolve over time and should be continually updated.   For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio. Artifacts

[Artifacts are the items you consider to be representative of your academic interests and achievements. For each entry, include both an artifact and a detailed annotation.  An annotation is a reflective description of the artifact that attempts to communicate its significance.  For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio.
